How does your economic reality effect your art?
I don't feel as though it does. I am fortunate to have enough emotional support to create what I would choose to make regardless of circumstances. Although I do think that graduate school would have helped me in terms of a good teaching position. Not many of us chose grad school back then as it seemed like another way to waste money and put off the inevitable: better to launch oneself into the art world and hope for the best.
