How did you get into debt?
I recently paid off my student loan. I wish I could say I am debt free but I still have medical bills.

Island, (Video installation) Porcelain, string and video 10”x 8” x 2'' inches, 2011
How does your economic reality effect your art?
Right now most of my tools and my studio are in storage. My economic reality has made me creative in finding solutions to accommodate my artistique practice. It is not all negative. I rent a Maker Space in town where I have access to a space and all the tools I need. I do miss my personal studio though... I have many sketches of floor plans of my dream studio (with a garage door a couch and a Moroccan carpet...) I hope that one day I will be able to have my personal studio in my home.

Ombre, inkjet print, wood, 4'' x 4'' x 1'' inches
Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
If I could simply work without concern for my necessities being met, I would create prolifically.

La Mancha, plaster, paper, video projection, 54” x 42” x 27” inches
