How did you get into debt?
By buying things: my education, my home, and some other consumer items along the way.
How does your economic reality effect your art?
My work is all about my feelings towards myself. Thoughts about my debt are omnipresent and exacerbate my negative feelings about myself, and therefore fuel my current work about those feelings. My work would look very different.
Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
