How did you get into debt?
How does your economic reality effect your art?
It seems I will have to completely shut down my art practice for a year or two to make and save enough money to be able to afford doing what I love i.e. paint. I am afraid to lose the passion in the struggle to survive in New York City. Patience and hard work pays off in the end, it is said. I just hope it isn't a lie!
Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
At the moment I am worried about not being able to afford a studio a practice. There needs to be work for it to change (or not) in the future. If I were not in debt, I would definitely be more involved in research and creation of my work than worrying about meeting basic needs.
