How did you get into debt?

How does your economic reality effect your art?
I have always had to work within economic limitations. I've lost studio spaces, been forced to sublet my space for periods of time, and I've borrowed money to buy art supplies. A few years ago, I decided to scale down on every level, including weeding inventory that I could not afford to store and tossing it. I've weathered the limitations.
