How did you get into debt?
The bulk of my debt comes from my time as an undergraduate ($45k), and I am in the process of applying to grad school. So I expect that number to rise of the next couple of years.

How does your economic reality effect your art?
I spend most of my time working in order to keep up with my monthly payments, which allows for little time to focus on my art.

Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
I think my work would look somewhat different, or at least have more variation. If I was not in so much debt I would be able to afford new materials instead of relying solely on used and discarded materials.
