How did you get into debt?
BFA and MFA

Ends Meet II, 36 x 48 inches, oil and beeswax on canvas, 2016
How does your economic reality effect your art?
I always look for cost cutting solutions to make my work, sometimes buying student grade paint instead of artist oils for example. I've learned to make my own coldwax which is so cost effective. It's challenging to save because of how expensive NYC has become. If a disaster happens, there would be a lot of uncertainty in my life.

Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
Not totally sure, but I would definitely have a bigger studio if I had no debt.
