How does your economic reality effect your art?
I would make larger work if I could afford the materials and storage for sculpture, painting, and printmaking. Also, I would always work with archival materials. Some of the materials I can afford break down quickly. Next, I would hire studio help. I spend valuable time record keeping. I would apply for more grants, keep a current web site, write for art publications, and update files. I could work more efficiently with an assistant to help gather found materials, pack and ship work, organize storage, etc. Finally, I would travel to exhibitions of my own work.
