Often since I don't have canvas, I will use my body as a canvas as in the image here. This piece is called 'Tape It.' Created in 2014, this work uses duct tape and is on my face and head.
How did you get into debt?
School loans.

"Timepiece" 2017, cut paper collage, 17" x 22"
How does your economic reality effect your art?
Because I can't afford to buy materials to make my art, I look around for materials that someone might give me or that I find. Basically I see myself as a 'recycle' artist. If I could afford materials I might well be a painter, but paper is easily accessible and only the best and cleanest papers are used to make art.
