How did you get into debt?
My debts are all from my college tuition. I had to get a student parent plus loan to pay off my school tuition and I still have tuition left to pay not including the loan.
How does your economic reality effect your art?
I moved from Chicago to New York after college to work and make money to pay off my debt; however, the reality is not helping me out to make enough money to pay off and pay living expenses. Therefore, it is hard for me to buy materials to make artwork that I used to and that is why I am only making small artwork in my house to pursue my dream as an artist.
Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
I would not think that my debt will have a lot of effect on my work from school; however, I would have had more freedom to express in materials, size, and ideas if I had no burden on money.
