How did you get into debt?
I got into debt paying for a graduate program in NYC.

How does your economic reality effect your art?
Yes. I am fortunate enough to have a studio right now, but I have very little money for materials. This has caused me to start using many industrial and natural materials.

Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
I have found myself trying to make small paintings because they are easier to sell than the work I am actually interested in making.
