Yes I am in debt of a Chinese bank, because living in Houston I must have a car and that is not my budget before I came here.
How do you make a living?
I am a painter from China and I currently have a job as computer manager in University of Houston which pays me my salary monthly. Every month inluding my house rent fee is about $1000 and my salary is $700. So I still have to depend on my family for the rest of the living cost.
How does your debt affect your art practice?
Well sometimes I may feel stressful and consider more about price when I want to buy new painting materials. So what I use for now are the cheapest canvas and the paints I brought from China.
