Eclipse -2015 - pine wood, dog fennel- H 70" x W 70" x D 20"
How did you get into debt?
I bought a house that was inexpense but needed much renovation. I work part-time in order to make art so I had to take out a loan to make the house livable.
Terrain - 2016 - Pine wood, dog fennel, marsh elder, willow - H 96" x W 90" x D 20"
How does your economic reality effect your art?
I am a sculptor. I have gotten a number of shows. If the venue which is usually a college or university does not pay for shipping I cannot pay for it myself. If I had money to work with I believe my art would get shown much more. Also more and more calls for entries have fees. I am unable to enter my work because of not being able to afford the entrance fee.
