I am in debt. I work every month to pay off some of these debts. I try to put more money towards the loans that carry the most interest. I got into debt by putting myself through school. I worked several jobs throughout my schooling, but it was never enough to cover tuition, supplies, and very basic living. Over time, I've accrued a student loan, a line of credit, and some credit card debt.

I teach throughout the year. I live modestly. I apply to art residencies to help defray studio costs. I partner with individuals and organizations that support me through the use of their workshops, tools, and expertise. I am very grateful for the community of people I work with. I reuse materials (either my own or some that I find).
I am limited in terms of supplies but, most importantly, I dedicate most of my time to teaching because that is my source of income. I would like to find a job where I may be able to teach less and to work more towards my own research and projects. Applying for these said jobs requires a lot of time, which I tend to spend on balancing my teaching life and my art practice. So, sometimes I feel a little spread out.
